Aayi re ghir ghir pehli pehli badariya

I had first become aware of “Miss Mary” (1957) five years ago when this movie was reviewed by Memsaab in her blog. I went ahead to my friendly VCD/DVD shop and managed to find its VCD. I watched the movie and liked it, including its songs.
Little did I know at that time that quite a few of its songs had been excluded from the two CDs that this movie came in. I have discussed one such song recently.
That was not the only such song though. I have just come to know that this move had a song sung by Geeta Dutt as well ! I never knew that despite watching the movie.
The video of this song is thankfully available on YT even if it was deleted from my VCD. This movie had two needy teachers (Gemini Ganeshan and Meena Kumari) posing as a married couple to land the jobs at Raisahab’s school. Raisahab also hosts them at his palatial mansion.
Posing as married couple leads to some interesting complications and the song under discussion is one such. The ladies in the house suspect that Meena Kumari is in the family way. This may be a non issue in the west but an occasion like this calls for a “god bharaai” rasm in India where some religious rituals are performed by ladies on the would be mom. The picturisation shows a bemused Meena Kumari being subjected to this “god bharaai” rasm in the song.
This song is sung by Geeta Dutt and chorus. I am unable to identify the lady who lip syncs in Geeta Dutt’s voice. I suspect that she plays no role in the movie except in this song and as such she may well be uncredited. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify her.

I wonder this was still to posted.
I had not watched the movie, but the song is with me in HMV’s audio collection (1986/87) -‘Magic Moments-Geeta Dutt’ !
