Today (28 september 2013) is the 84th birth anniversary of Lata Mangeshkar (DOB 28 september 1929). On this occasion, we will discuss a few songs sung by her.
Here is a Lata Rafi duet from “Meena Baazaar” (1950). This movie was a Pancholi Productions movie. It was directed by Ravindra Dave. The movie had Shyam, Nargis, Kuldip Kaur, Gope, Sapru, Kanhaiyalal, Bhudo Advani, Chandabai, Om Prakash etc in it.
“Meena Baazaar” (1950) had as many as five Rafi Lata duets in it, which is easily the record for the maximum number of Rafi Lata duets in one movie. Four of these duets have already been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth and Final Rafi Lata duet from the movie.
Only the audio of this song is available. But indications, as well as the Rafi excel sheet suggest that this song was picturised on Nargis, Shyam and others.
