“Actress” (1948) was directed by Najam Naqvi for Filmistan. the movie had Prem Adeeb, Rehana, Misra, Meena Shorey, Mukri, David Abraham, Jamal Amrohi etc in it.
Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fourth song from the movie. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt and Shamshad Begam. Only the audio of this song is available and so it is difficult to say how and on whom this song is picturised. I have noticed that there are a few Geeta Dutt Shamshad Begam duets in this movie. From the lyrics of these songs, it appears that two females play male and female characters on stage and lip synn in these two voices, with Shamshad Begam singing for the male character. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

The video clip of the song :
Shamshad Begum and Geeta Dutt lip sync for Rehana and Meena Shorey respectively. In the film, both are sisters and singer-actress and are love with another singer-actor Prem Adib without the knowledge of each other . This song is picturised when Rehna comes to know that her sister is also in love with her beloved Prem Adib. Hence, in this song both are expressing different moods about their beloved.

Must be a typo,but the word Sultan from above should be erased. Rehana Sultan born in 1950 whereas the movie is from 1948. Pl.request Atulji to delete it.
