“Watan” (1954) was directed by N Bhatt for Falcon Pictures. This by now obscure B grade movie had Trilok Kapoor, Nirupa Roy, Munawwar Sultana, Jayant, Gope, Madan Puri, Cuckoo, Surya Kumar etc in it.
Today (11 april 2014) is the 101st birth anniversary of Gope. On this occasion, here is a song from “Watan” (1954). This rare song is sung by Rafi. Only the audio of this song is available, but this song was picturised on Gope (according to Rafi excel sheet). Shewan Rizvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hafiz Khan.
Little is known about this movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
