Today (14 april 2014) is the 95th birth anniversary of Shamshad Begam (14 april 1919-23 april 2013). That was today is the birth anniversary of two major female playback singers, viz Khursheed Bano and Shamshad Begam.
Here is a light hearted fun song from “Rangeen Raaten”. The song is sung by Shamshad Begam, Geeta Bali and Uma Devi (Tuntun). The song is picturised on Shammi (lip syncing in Shamshad Begam’s voice) and Also Geeta Bali and Uma devi who sing for themselves.

‘Tishna’ is Urdu word of Persian origin for thirst. It is applicable as it is an adjective of ‘lab’ – lips, which is an Urdu word. ’tishna-lab’ is a common phrase used to describe parched lips. You are quite correct that ‘trishna’ a Sanskrit word also means the same. This is yet another instance of similarity amongst languages suggesting common origin.
