“Mumtaz Mahal” (1957) was directed by Ram Daryani for Nigam Films. The movie had Jairaj, Sheela Ramani, Veena, Agha, Umesh, Nazir Kashmiri etc in it.
Two songs from this forgotten movie have been discussed in the past.

This song, whose audio link is a recording from a Sri Lanka Broadcasting corporation recording, is sung by Geeta Dutt. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Vinod.
This is a superb musical gem which unfortunately has ended up as an obscure song.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song. I also hope that a better quality recording of this nice song will become available in due course.
