Asha Bhonsle was then a struggler who was trying hard to get a foothold in the industry. One can clearly notice that her singing style was inspired by the then prevailing female singing style of Lata, whose own singing style was in turn inspired by the then prevailing singing style of the leading female playback singers of the time.
