“Zimbo Comes To Town”(1960) was directed by Nanabhai Bhatt for Combine Film Traders, Bombay. The movie had Chitra, Azad, Bhagwan, Shammi, Neelofar, Habeeb, Dalpat, Shri Bhagwan, Bismillah, Mitthu Miyaan, M K Hasan, Geeta, Julien, Korega, Yadav, Ratan, Raman Joshi, Pedro the Chimpanzee etc in it.

This song is sung by Lata. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.
This is the only song from this movie whose video is not available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
This is a nice romantic song which is best heard in evening/ night after a hard day’s work. 🙂 Come to think of it, people living four decades ago would switch on their radio sets in the evening after coming home from work and the radio set would play songs like this at that time whether it was Radio Ceylon or Vividh Bharati. Not that I have heard this song in these radio stations. I have listened to this song for the first time only just now, 55 years after this song was created. 🙂 And what a nice song it is.
