Let us today listen this haunting melody, a gem of a song, long lost undeservedly. I wonder why RonoDeb Mukherji, the music Director, faded after certainly an applaudable album of ‘Tu hi meri zindagi’ (1965).
Whenever I am tired and flop on the chair, I remember this song, because of no reason other than the starting words of this song. And when I sing this aloud, my wife takes it as a cue that I need a cup of coffee. 🙂
Humour apart, I wonder why this song was missed even as other songs of this movie have found place in ASAD. For me this is the most endearing song of this movie.

Asha Bhonsle has sung this with such a fervour, the way only she can.
Lyrics are by Neeraj , as noted in print elsewhere. The movie has one more lyricist Raja Mehdi Ali Khan in it. The picturisation shown Nivedita (aka Libi Rana), Debu Mukherji and another actor that I can not identify are in the video clip.
