“Dil Ki Raani”(1947) was directed by Mohan Sinha (father of actress Vidya Sinha) and directed by P V Bankar for Amar jyoti pictures film. The movie had Raj Kapoor, Madhubala, Munshi Khanjar, Shyamsunder etc. in it.
The movie had nine songs in it. Eight songs from the movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the ninth and final song from the movie. This song is sung by Shyam Sundar (actor- different from music director of the same name). The song is Music is composed by S D Burman. There were two lyricists in this movie but the lyricist of this song is not known.
The song is picturised on Shyam Sundar (playing a music director) and a very young Madhubala who is seen emerging out of bathroom.
It is clear that the song is inspired from the famous Amirbai Karnataki song of “Shehnaai”(1947) viz. Maar kataari mar jaana (Shehnaai) . 🙂
