“Nargis”(1946) was directed by D D Kashyap for Famous Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Nargis, Rehman, Shahnawaz, David, alka Achrekar, Pratima Devi, Bhagwan, Amirbai Kaarnataki, Baby Tabassum, Karadkar, Ghulam Hussain, Rane, Suhasini etc in it.

Here is the sixth song from “Nargis”(1946) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by G M Durrani (HFGK is silent about the singer, but the voice is clearly G M durrani’s). Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Husnlal Bhagatram.
Only the audio of this song is available. The song sounds like a male lullaby where a father is trying to put his child to sleep. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

I love Durrani’s voice, My elder brother (8 yrs senior) used to sing his songs and from very childhood I was hooked with his voice and style.
