“Jhumroo”(1961) was a K S Production movie which was directed by Shankar Mukherji. K S Stood for Kishore Kumar and Anoop Sharma (his secretary). Kishore Kumar had made Anoop Sharma as the producer of this movie instead of himself for tax purposes. This followed in the wake of “Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi”(1958) which was the first venture of K S Productions.
The movie had Kishore Kumar, his wife Madhubala, his brother Anoop Kumar as well as his sister in law Chanchal in it. The movie also had Lalita Pawar, Sajjan, K N Singh, Jayant, M Kumar, Anoop Sharma, Bhagwan Sinha, S K Singh, Jayant, Nimmo, Minu, Rajrani, Khursheed Begam, Sarla, Polson etc in it.

Referring to hindigeetmala.net this song and Ge ge ge ge gaily are the creations of KishorKummar and not Majrooh. Please see if it can be confirmed .

HFGK mentions Majrooh Sultanpuri as the sole lyricist of this movie except the title song “main hoon jhum jhum jhum jhum jhumru” which is the only song from this movie that is credited to Kishore Kumar as lyricist.

Please see that in our blog i.e. this one only , you have mentioned the lyricist to be Majrooh Sultanpuri only. ( Feb.,4,2011).
Please excuse me if I am wrong.

You are right. I had mentioned Majrooh Sultanpuri as the lyricist in that writeup. Those were the days when I did not have access to HFGK. Now I have corrected the writeup for that song. Thanks for pointing it out.

i don’t remember this song at all. now for the sake of this song i need to see the movie. anyways it is close to 25 years since i saw this movie.
