“Nek Khatoon”(1959) was produced and directed by Pyarelal for Hind Pictures, Bombay. This movie, described as a social (samajik) movie in HFGK, had Chitra, Sahh Agha, Hiralal, Indira, Sheikh, Neelofar, Jillani, Maqbool, Fakeer Mohammad, Mohini, arvind Kumar, Razia, Habeeb, Kailash, Tiwari, Cooper, Altaf, baby Parveen etc in it.
The movie had seven songs according to HFGk and most songs were apparently multiple version songs according to HFGK.
Here is the first song from “Nek Khatoon”(1959) to appear in the blog. This song is a devotional song (“Naat” according to a comment in HFGK), which is sung by Geeta Dutt. Khawar Zamaan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Jimmy.
HFGK mentions two songs (s n. 4 and 5) with similar lyrics but my feeling is that the two songs, going by the lyrics, could be just one song, and it is this song under discussion.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
With this song, “Nek Khatoon”(1959) makes its debut in the blog.

Song-Sun le zameen aasmaan ke khuda (Nek Khatoon)(1959) Singer-Geeta Dutt, Lyrics-Khawan Zamaan, MD-Jimmy
Lyrics
Sun le zameen aasman ke khuda
sun le arre do jahaan ke khuda
toone na suni to meri kaun sunega
aaj na maanee to khuda kaun kahega
raham farma de ke hai
rahim tera naam
karam farma de ke hai
karim tera naam
Sun le zameen aasmaan ke khuda
sun le arre do jahaan ke khuda
toone na suni to meri kaun sunega
aaj na maanee to khuda kaun kahega
hote huye tere koi dar badar hua
toote hain sahaare tu sahaara ban ja
hote huye tere koi dar badar hua
toote hain sahaare tu sahaara ban ja
Sun le zameen aasmaan ke khuda
sun le arre do jahaan ke khuda
toone na suni to meri kaun sunega
aaj na maanee to khuda kaun kahega
dekh meri duniya bhi veeraan ho gayi
ye to bata teri khudaayi kyun so gayi
Sun le zameen aasmaan ke khuda
sun le arre do jahaan ke khuda
toone na suni to meri kaun sunega
aaj na maanee to khuda kaun kahega
maula meri kashti ko tu paar laga de
kya tera bigdega jo tu bigdi bana de
maula meri kashti ko tu paar laga de
kya tera bigdega jo tu bigdi bana de
Sun le zameen aasmaan ke khuda
sun le arre do jahaan ke khuda
toone na suni to meri kaun sunega
aaj na maanee to khuda kaun kahega
chaaron taraf ghere huye maut ke saaye
tere siwa ghareebon ko kaun bachaaye
Sun le zameen aasman ke khuda
do jahaan ke khuda
do jahaan ke khuda
rok de
rok de
rok de
