This article is the 17200th blog post for the blog.
Blog Day : |

Slowly and steadily, and also unnoticeably, we arrive at yet another century milstone for the blog. This article is the 172th century post, or in other words post number 17200.
The previous century was achieved on 14 august 2022 (Blog day number 5140). This century is being achieved on 25th october 2022( Blog day number 5212). In other words, this century has arrived in 72 days, at a glacial pace of 1.4 songs daily.
This is the second century milestone for the blog after I retired from service in June 2022. If I thought that I would be able to devote more time to the blog post retirement, that does not seem to have happened.
There are some reasons that may have prevented me from going at a better rate. One reason is that the sheer volume of content in the blog that we have accumulated requires lots and lots of background work. I am still devoting considerable time to the blog but that is happening in ackground work, and is not getting reflected in the number of posts.
Readers who are following Blog Ten Year Challenge series will notice that we used to post as many as eight songs a day ten years ago. That was the situation when I was a full fledged employee holding a key post. Still I was able to be highly productive as far as the blog was concerned.
I used to wake up before 5 AM those days and would start working on the blog right away. Today also I wake up at the same time, but I am unable to do any blog work right away. My morning is devoted to walking my two dogs one by one between 5 AM and six AM. I did not have to do this ten years ago. My dogs those days freely roamed around on their own and came back on their own. This state of affairs continued till I retired. It is only now I am realising how much time my dogs were saving me during my working days, because I did not have to walk them daily. They did their walking, running and other excecises on their own.
Right now my residence is seeing some construction work, so for the time being I am unable to open my laptop right away because it means waking my wife up. Once the construction work is over, I will be able to keep the computer in some other room and that would allow me valuable early morning hours before my wife even wakes up. That is what I used to do doing my working days, when my computers were located in a room far away from the prying eyes of my wife. 😉 Moreover, even my wife was with me only for a few days in a year as she was herself working in a far off place.
Most articles that get covered in the blog these days are guest posts. Others are mostly Blog Ten Year Challenge posts. The idea now a days is that there should be at least one post daily and taht there should not be a DOT day in the blog. The last DOT day for the blog was on 25 december 2019 (Blog day number 4177). So we now have seen at least one post daily continously for 1035 days. Hopefully this will continue for long. There were days when I was unable to post, like for instance during the last few days of my service. Sudhir Jee has kept the blog flag high on those days by posting at least one article daily.
Personally I have not been able to really “blog” where blog means expressing my views in detail on various topics. There are lots and lots of topics where I would like to express myself in detail. In the past I have written in detail about several topics. Hopefully I will be able to achieve the same form soon enough.
While looking for a century post song, I came across this rare song from a rare movie which is a composition of artists that are hardly known to most music lovers.
The movie is “Zimbo Ki Beti”(1959). “Zimbo Ki Beti”(1959) was produced by S J Rajdev and directed by S Pal for Rajni Chitra, Bombay. This movie had Nazi, Samar Roy, Heera Sawant, Burhan, Jillani, Tuntun, Nimmo, Shashimala, Majnu, Malik, Balwant Sharma, Khursheed, Razak, Govind, Khanna, Parshuram, Gawli, Sandow etc in it.
There were six obscure songs in this obscure movies. One song from “Zimbo Ki Beti”(1959) has been covered so far.
Here is the second song from the movie. It is sung by Minu Purushottam and Khursheed Baawra. Khawar Zamaan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Prem.
Only audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
I take this opportunity to thank one and all whose encouragement, support and contributions in one way or the other has kept this musical bandwagon rolling on and on for more than 14 years, which is a lot for an online collaboration of music lovers. Hopefully we will see this blog keep adding many more songs and centuries to its tally in the days, months and years to come.

Welcome all to this post where once again I am taking you back to the ‘melodious decade’ or ‘golden era’ years of 1951-1960.
We have this movie ‘Nek Khatoon-1959’ launched on the blog on 19.10.2016 with its song ‘sun le zameen aasmaan ke khuda’ sung by Geeta Dutt.
.
‘Nek Khatoon-1959’ was directed by Pyare Lal for ‘Hind Pictures, Bombay’.
Pyare Lal was also the producer of this movie.
This movie had Chitra, Shah Agha, Hiralal, Indira, Sheikh, Neelofar, Jilani, Maqbul, Fakeer Muhammad, Mohini, Arvind Kumar, Razia, Habib, Kailash, Tiwari Cooper, Altaf, Baby Parveen and others.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 23.03.1959.
This movie had seven songs written by Khawar Zaman and composed to music by Jimmy.
As per HFGK Vol-III the songs from this movie are as listed below;
S. No. | Song Title | Singer | Posted on |
---|---|---|---|
01 | Aayi hoon dar pe tere ban ke sawaali (Part-1) | Geeta Dutt | |
02 | Loot le loot le loot le duniya ke maze… chaandi jaise din hain tere sone jaisi raatein | ||
03 | Loot le loot le loot le duniya ke maze…Pagley phir na aayengi ye mastibhari bahaarein | ||
04 | Maula ab to sun… sun le zameen aasmaan ke khuda | Geeta Dutt | 19.10.2016 |
05 | Sun le zameen ke aasmaan ke khuda, sun le arey do jahaan ke khuda | Geeta Dutt | 19.10.2016 |
06 | Aayi hoon dar pe tere ban ke sawaali (Part-2) | Geeta Dutt | |
07 | Maulaa ki rahmat se hogi har mushqil aasaan | Khan Mastana |
While posting the first song from this movie Atul ji had mentioned that
“HFGK mentions two songs (s n. 4 and 5) with similar lyrics but my feeling is that the two songs, going by the lyrics, could be just one song,”
I would like to mention the same for song numbers (2) & (3), that this could be one song together or else we are missing one stanza starting from ‘chaandi jaise din hain tere sone jaisi raatein’ because in today’s song we have one stanza before this stanza ‘pagley phir na aayengi ye mastibhari bahaarein’ and thereafter including this ‘pagley phir na aayengi’ it seems to be almost a full song. So, I guess song number 2 & 3 is one song together.
Also, HFGK did not mention the singer name for the above two songs. However, after listening the voices anybody can identify the singer. All links also identify the singer which is not difficult.
Let us now enjoy today’s song and add one more song to the tally of ‘Nek Khatoon-1959’ in the blog.
I hope you will like this song…
I would request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on the movie and its songs …

The movie had ten songs in it. Nine of these songs have been covered in the past.
Here are the details of these songs:-

The eighth song from the movie was covered in 2015. After that there was a big time gap of nearly 5 years because the remaining two songs were not available. When I checked up a few days ago, I could locate the remaining two songs. The ninth song was covered on 22 march 2020.
I saved the rarest song from the movie for the last. Here is this light hearted song from “Farmaaish”(1953). This song is sung by Sulochana Kadam and chorus. Khawar Zamaan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Husnlal Bhagatram.
In this song, the lady asks her beau to bring her a table fan as the days have become hotter and she is finding the heat unbearable.
I think this must be the only song in HFM that discusses Fan. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us if they are familiar with some other songs dealing with Fans.
Only the audio of this cute song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
With this song, all the ten songs from the movie have been covered and the movie joins the list of movies that have been YIPPEED in the blog.

Lyrics
huye hain majboor hoke apnon se door

hua mera kya kusoor kuchh samajh na aaye
kaisi bhool ki gairon ka kahaa maan ke
dukh le liya hai usey sukh jaan ke
kaisi bhool ki gairon ka kahaa maan ke
dukh le liya hai usey sukh jaan ke
kise apna haal sunaayen re
koi nahin paas mere toot gayi aas
ab raas nahin raas mera dil ghabraaye
huye hain majboor hoke apnon se door
hua mera kya kusoor kuchh samajh na aaye
din khushiyon ke humse rooth gaye
ab apne sahaare sab toot gaye
din khushiyon ke humse rooth gaye
ab apne sahaare sab toot gaye
kise dil ke daag dikhaayen re
koi sune na pukaar hua jeena dushwaar
chhoota dil ka karaar koi kahaan chala jaaye
huye hain majboor hoke apnon se door
hua mera kya kusoor kuchh samajh na aaye
Meri ankhiyon ke dore gulaabi

The song is picturised as a dance song on an undentified lady and others. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the dancer. Yakoob is also visible in the picturisation.

aa kar le humse pyaar
meri ankhiyon ke dore gulaabi
jise chaahoon banaaoon sharaabi

aa kar le mujhse pyaar
aa kar le humse pyaar re
aa kar le humse pyaar
Hey baabu zara sun sun sun

Lyrics
hey baabu
zara sun sun sun
arey sun
arey sun
mera dil nahin hai kaaboo
meri jaan ki kasam
dil le le le
is duniya se na darr
hey baabu
zara sun sun sun
are sun
are sun
mera dil nahin hai kaaboo
meri jaan ki kasam
dil le le le
is duniya se na darr
hey baabu
zara sun sun sun
aa aa aa
aaja deewaane
na na na
na ja mastaane
duniya saari golmaal hai
tu kya jaane
dil ka kaisa haal chaal hai
tu kya jaane
tera dil mera mera
mera dil tera tera
tera mera haan haan
hey baabu
zara sun sun sun
are sun are sun
mera dil nahin hai kaaboo
meri jaan ki kasam
dil le le le
is duniya se na darr
hey baabu
zara sun sun sun
hey baabu
ye ye ye
ye rut mastaani
haan haan haan
do din ki jawaani
aankhon mein bhar lai hoon masti ke pyaale
aaj nashe mein jhoom jhoom le o matwaale
tera dil mera mera
mera dil tera tera
tera mera haan haan
hey baabu
zara sun sun sun
are sun
are sun
mera dil nahin hai kabu
meri jan ki kasam dil le le le
is duniya se na darr
hey baabu
zara sun sun sun
na na na
main na maanoon
haan haan haan
main pehchaanoon
itna maani mera to hai baalam jhootha
mujhse pyaar jataa kar mere dil ko loota
tera dil mera mera
mera dil tera tera
tera mera haan haan
hey babu
zara sun sun sun
are sun are sun
mera dil nahin hai kaaboo
meri jaan ki kasam
dil le le le
is duniya se na darr
hey baabu
zara sun sun sun
hey baabu
