“Maan Abhimaan”(1980) was Produced by Tarachand Barjatya and directed by Hiren Nag for Rajshree Productions private Limited, Bombay. The movie had Raj Kiran, Rameshwari,Shashi Puri, Kavita Kiran,Yunus Parvez, C.S.Dubey, Gajanan Jagirdaar,Sunder,Master Rajesh, Arun Kumar(aka Arun Kumar Ahuja), Pardesi, Chandu Ilahabadi, Brijendra Mohan, Albela alongwith Guest artistes Amrish Puri,Sulochana Latkar and Iftekhar.
This movie had six songs in it.
Today (10 january 2017) is the 77th birth anniversary of K J Yesudas (DoB 10 january 1940). 77th birth anniversary ! How time has flown at supersonic speed ! He was in his 30s when he sang those lovely songs in Hindi movies like in “Chhoti Si Baat”(1975), “Chitchor”(1976), “Aalaap”(1977), “Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaaye”(1977), “Daada”(1978),”Saajan Bin Suhaagan”(1978), “Trishul”(1978), “Naiyya”(1979),”Toote Khilaune”(1979), “Saawan Ko Aane Do”(1979), “Sunayna”(1979) “Haisiyat”(1984) etc.
This blog has 43 Yesudas songs from 25 movies. On the occasion of his birth anniversary, here is a lovely song from “Maan Abhimaan”(1980). This song, like the other Yesudas songs in the blog is a gem. I recall listening to it during its days, but it has ended up becoming a rare song by now.
This song is written and composed by Ravindra Jain. The song is picturised as a background song, with Raj Kiran and Rameshwari, playing an estranged couple (I guess) visible in the picturisation.

Atulji some corrections. u ve written MaanApmaan instead of “Maan Abhimaan”
as far as i recollect Rameshwari lives on some property in a small town and has some issues with the Raj Kiran’s father as the father (Amrish Puri) is responsible for the family being penniless. The fathers were partners in business.Now she has only her Maan and Abhimaan to help her keep her head high… phew! the rest of the story will be how the two get together and live happily forever.
