“Paaras”(1949) was directed by Anant Thakur for All India Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Rehman, Kamini Kaushal, Murad, K. N. Singh, Madhubala, Sulochana Chatterji, Sapru, Gope, Amar, Pratima Devi, Cuckoo etc in it.
There were nine songs in the movie. As many as seven songs from the movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the eighth song from “Paaras”(1949) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Rafi and Shamshad Begam. Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ghulam Mohammad.
This song is an “expression of love” song which is picturised on Rehman and a lady whom I guess to be Sulochana Chatterji. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify her.

Yes she is Sulochana Chatterjee(in her younger days), also sometimes her name was spelt as Salochana Chatterjee, I remember her in Basu chatterjee`s Piya ka ghar(1972) as Anil Dhawan`s mother and Agha`s wife
and another elderly lady looking through window(at0:10) is character artiste Prathima Devi
