“Magic Box”(1963) was directed by B J Patel for Shree Ganesh Chitra, Bombay. This obscure movie had Ranjan, Nasreen, Rajan Kapoor, Sheila R, Shree Bhagwan, Prakash, Shyam, Babu Raje, Abbas Ahmad, Akram, Maulana, Abdul etc in it.
The movie had six songs in it that are as obscure as the movie.
Here is the first song from “Magic Box”(1963) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Manna Dey and Suman Kalyanpur. Indeewar is the lyricist. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.
This is a gem of a song. It had the misfortune of being part of an obscure C grade movie that sank without a trace and so music lovers stayed blissfully unaware of this song.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
On checking up, I find that I had discovered in song as far back as in october 2013 itself and I had planned to discuss this song as song number 8892 in the blog. It turns out that I forgot all about this song and it remained un discussed at that time. Now, more than four years and 3300 plus songs later, here is this wonderful song from “Magic Box”(1963) to appear in the blog.
