“Mohabbat Ki Jeet”(1960) was produced and directed by B S Ranga for Vikram Productions, Madras. This movie had Raja Sulochana, Ranjan, Sowcar Janki, Sriram, Rajagopal etc in it. It appears from the cast that this movie may have been a remake of some South Indian movie though HFGK is silent about this fact.
The movie had eight songs in it.
Here is the first song from “Mohabbat Ki Jeet”(1960) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Talat Mehmood and Suman Kalyanpur. Shreeram Saaz is the lyricist. Music is composed by Md Shafi.
HFGK mentions that the movie version of this song was apparently sung by Talat Mehmood and Sudha Malhotra (instead of Suman Kalyanpur). The female voice in the audio link provided in the writeup sounds like Suman Kalyanpur though the uploader mentins it as Sudha Malhotra.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
With this song, a nice “Chaayaageet” song, “Mohabbat Ki Jeet”(1960) makes its debut in the blog.
