“Gul Bahaar”(1954) was produced by Darshan and directed by Nanubhai Vakil for M P Films, Bombay. The movie had Shakeela, Hemant, Kuldeep, Randheer, Ram Avtaar, Chaand Burque, Shanti Madhok, Heera Sawant, Khairaati, Kumar, Anwari, Chanda, Kavita, Mukherji, Panditji, Rajan Kapoor, Ramesh Thakar, Uma Devi etc in it.
The movie had six songs in it. Two of these songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the third song from “Gul Bahaar”(1954) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Meena Kapoor. Shewan Rizvi is the lyricist. The movie had two music directors in it, namely Dhaniram (4 songs) and Khayyam (2 songs). This song is composed by Khayyam.
Only the audio of this song is available. I have not been able to get the lyrics right to my satisfaction. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections as applicable.
