“Sewa”(1942) was directed by Dhirubhai B Desai for Ashok Pictures, Bombay. This “social” movie had Zahoor Raja, A K Kabuli, Hadi, Prabha Shankar, Shyam sundar, Bulbul, Shanta, Radha Rani, Anwari, Alice etc in it.
This obscure movie had thirteen songs in it that were composed by two music directors viz S N Tripathi and Biri Singh Dukha. Distribution of songs among them is known only for two songs and these two songs were composed by S N Tripathi.
Here is the first song from “Sewa”(1942) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Zahoor Raja. J C Kapoor is the lyricist. Music is composed by S N Tripathi.
Only the audio of this song is available. It is clear that this song was picturised on Zahoor Raja himself.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on this movie.
I wonder if lyricist J C Kapoor is a misprint for I C Kapoor. In case it is really J C Kapoor then he is making his debut in the blog with this song.
