Today’s missing movie of ‘1973’ on the blog is ‘Khoon Khoon’.
Going by the release date of this movie (which is 02.06.1973) I was five years old at that time. I obviously do not have any memory of this movie. Moreover it was a movie with ‘A’ certificate so I don’t think I could have watched this movie. But going by its posters on the media now, I vaguely remember to have seen these posters carrying photographs of Mahendra Sandhu – the actor- on them. I am not aware how this movie fared at the box-office. I had never listened to a song of this movie till recently. By the way this movie and the video of its songs seem to be unavailable online as of now.
Let us come to today’s post now and the song from this movie ‘Khoon Khoon’.
“Khoon Khoon-1973” was directed by Mohammad Hussain for ‘Eagle Films. It had Mahendra Sandhu, Danny Dengzongpa, Jagdeep, Murad, Fariyal, Padma Khanna, Karan Deewan, Habib, Rajan Kapoor, Sabina, Kamal, Ratna, Don and others. The movie had special appearances by Rekha, Helen, Madan Puri, Agha, Manmohan Krishna, Shyama, Dev Kumar and Asit Sen.
This movie was passed by Censor Board 02.06.1973.
This movie has four songs composed by Vijay Singh. Songs were written by Hasrat Jaipuri, Dev Kohli and Gajendra (?).
I am not aware about the lyricist Gajendra and I think he will be making a debut on the blog.

Let us listen to today’s song now. Only the audio is available. I liked this song and it is a nice song to listen. The song has been forgotten, possibly because the movie itself failed and so this song was not heard by music lovers during its time.
With this song this movie ‘Khoon Khoon-1973’ makes its debut on the blog. The singer Teerath and lyricist Gajendra too make their debut on the blog. That is another reason for the selection of this particular song from this movie under this series.
