“Toote Taare”(1948) was directed by Harish for Omar Khayyam Films, Bombay. This movie had Sheikh Mukhtar, Shamim, Kanhaiyalal, Mridula, Murad,Putlibai, Sudhir, Babu,S.Ghosh,
Sultan,Sharif,Kanchan kumar,Anwari Bai, Laddan, Agha Dehlvi etc in it.
“Toote Taare”(1948) had eight songs in it. Five songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the sixth song from “Toote Taare”(1948) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Geeta Roy (later Dutt). The movie had two lyricists, but the lyricist of this song is not known. Music is composed by Naashaad.
Only audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.

The song is a delightful song, ar archtypical puraani film ka song, that one grew up listening to in Radio Ceylon between 7:30 AM to 8 AM.
