‘Jeewan Taaraa-1951’ was directed by Joseph Teliyeth (Junior) who also produced it for Citadel Film Corporation Ltd, Madras. It was a movie of costume drama genre. The cast of this movie includes T.R.Mahalingam, T.R.Rajkumari, P.S. Veerappa, K Sarangpani, C.V.Naygam, K.P.Kamatchi, C.V.V.Tirupathi, Somu, Swaminathan, T.P. Rajalakshami, V. Sushila, T.S. Jaya, Lalitha, and Padmini and others. This movie was passed by the Censor Board on 06.10.1951.
As per HFGK Vol-III (1951-1960) this movie had eight songs in it. Lyrics for this movie were penned by G.S. Potdar and Prem Dhawan. They penned five and three songs respectively. Music for this movie was composed by as many as three composer viz. Vasant Desai, Chitragupt, and Shankar Rao Vyas. They composed three,three and two songs respectively.
The first song from this movie to appear on this blog is the song ‘kyaa bataayen kyaa mazaa ye zindagee mein hai’ which was posted on 19.09.2016. Thereafter the second from this movie was posted on the blog on 14.11.2020 on the occasion of Diwali. The was the song ‘jagmag jagmag deep jaley’.
Today I present the third song from this movie. It is a female duet song sung by Sulochana Kadam and Asha Bhonsle. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Vasant Desai. Only audio of this song is available.
