“Mohabbat Ki Jeet”(1960) was produced and directed by B S Ranga for Vikram Productions, Madras. This movie had Raja Sulochana, Ranjan, Sowcar Janki, Sriram, Rajagopal etc in it. It appears from the cast that this movie may have been a remake of some South Indian movie though HFGK is silent about this fact.
The movie had eight songs in it. Two songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the third song from “Mohabbat Ki Jeet”(1960) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Manna Dey and chorus. Shreeram Saaz is the lyricist. Music is composed by Md Shafi.
Only the audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song. The song is a patriotic song or nation building song of the sort that was common in those days when Indians were high on ideology and they wanted to make the nation great though they had no idea how to do that.
The audio quality is not unpto the mark. I have not been able to get a few words in the lyrics. I requent our readers with keener eras to help fill in the blank/ suggest corrections in the lyrics wherever applicable.
