“Qusoor Teri Nazroon Ka Tha” from “Nirdosh” (1973), is sung by Kishore Kumar, written by Asad Bhopali and music composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

This movie is a poignant drama that delves into themes of love, betrayal, and resilience. The narrative centers around Roopa, a spirited and tomboyish village girl who enjoys spending time with local children. She falls in love with Ravi, a city dweller, and they plan to marry with their families’ blessings. However, a devastating flood strikes Roopa’s village, prompting her to relocate to Bombay after her father’s death. In the city, Roopa endures traumatic experiences, including sexual assault, which lead her into a life of crime. The film follows her harrowing journey and the challenges she faces in seeking justice and redemption.
The cast features Vinod Mehra, Yogeeta Bali, Sujit Kumar, and Padma Khanna. The music, composed by the renowned duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal with lyrics by Asad Bhopali, includes songs like “Koi Pyar Se Tohe Dekhe Sanwaria” and “Koi Mantar Maar De Aisa,”, etc.
The song is lip synced by Vinod Mehra. We can also see Yogita Bali in the picturisation.
This song reminds me of another similar sounding one “Haal Kya Hai Dilon Ka” from Anokhi Ada 1973. Both these songs are sung by Kishore Da and composed by Laxmi-Pyare and are set up like a qawwaali.
