“Pagli”(1974) was directed by C P Dixit for Asha Art International, Bombay. This “Social” movie had Rakhi, Rakesh Roshan, Bindu, Joginder, Ranjeet, Surekha, V K Sharma, Maruti, Ratnamala, Tuntun, Kamaldeep, V Gopal,Jerry Raja, Birbal, Raj Kuamr, Maujiram, Bhushan Tiwari, Shreeram Mishra, Sudarshan Sethi, Jagdeesh Joshi, Montu, Kishore Sharma, Sushil, Prabhakar, Jagdeep (guest appearnce), Shammi, Manohar etc in it.
This movie, unlike most movies of those days, had only two songs. Video of this movie or its songs are not available.
The first song Dhak dhak dhadke kya karoon re was covered five years ago. Thaat song was sung by Asha Bhonsle.
Here is the second and final song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelaal.
Only audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of the song.
