“Chor Police”(1983) was produced by Shehla Khan (Amjad Khan’s wife) and Vinay Kumar Sinha (Amjad Khan’s secretary) and directed by Amjad Khan for Cinema International, Bombay. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Nirupa Roy, Shatrughan Sinha, Parveen Babi, Master Vishal (also known as Master Bittu), Kadar Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Kalpana Iyer, Satyen Kappu, Sudhir, Madhu Malhotra, Imtiaz Khan, Amjad Khanetc in it.Vinod Mehra and Bindiya Goswami made special appearances whereas U.A.E. Narendranath, Zarina Wahab and Nazneen made friendly appearances.
“Chor Police”(1983) had five songs in it. Four songs have been covered in the past.

Here is the fifth and final song of “Chor Police”(1983) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and chorus. Nida Fazli is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman. The song is picturised on Kalpana Iyer and others as a dance song.
One notices that the voice of Asha Bhonsle was used in all the five songs of the movie. She sang for Parveen Babi (two songs), Kalpana Iyer (two songs) and Bindiya Goswami (one song) in this movie.

your observation “Not worth to be covered under Atul’s song a day” is not wrong.
But then it is there in the film. Somebody has taken effort to write it, compose it , sing it, choreographer it, fund it etc.
And having it on the blog will bring the album to YYIIPPEEHOOD
Possibly it may have been a song that was used as a “cigarette-break’ song back then; who knows!!!

Thanks for this post Sir jee. As I said earlier all Pancham compositions are most welcome 🙂 I have yet to watch this movie. Nice songs with some great music by Pancham.
Sorry, but please correct – “One notices that the voice of Asha Bhonsle was used in all the five songs of the movie.” – One song in this movie is sung by Lata Mangeshkar which is a solo song. So the voice of Asha Bhonsle is used in four songs only.
