“Nayee Duniya”(1942) was produced by Naushad and directed by A R Kardar for CIRCO (Cine Industries Recording Company) productions. The movie had Shobhana Samarth,Mazhar Khan, Jairaj, Wasti, Azurie, Jeevan, Ram Awtar etc. in it.
“Nayi Duniya”(1942) had 11 songs in it. Nine songs have been covered in the past. The movie made its debut in the blog on 21 december 2013 with the song Aaj mera man doley and the ninth song, bolo chhoom chhanananana chhai was covered in 2019. So the last song from this movie was covered six years ago.
Here is the tenth song from “Nayi Duniya”(1942) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Rajkumari. Tanveer Naqvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.
Only audio of this rare song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
After this song, only one song from the movie remains to be covered. That song is “Ram ke naam pe de ja bande”, but this song does not appear to be available. Neither its record number is known nor the details of the singer snd lyricist. So it appears that this song was only available in the movie and its records were not made. Seeing that the prints of the movie are not available, this song may have been lost for ever. So this song covered today, which is the tenth song (out of 11) will be the final song from this movie to be covered in the blog unless the final song miraculously becomes available in future.
I have not been able to get some words of the lyrics. I request readers with keener ears to help fill in the gaps/ suggest correction in the lyrics wherever applicable.
