“Bansari Baalaa-1957”, a fantasy movie was directed by Nanubhai Vakil. Moghabhai Desai was the producer of this movie and it was passed by the Censor Board on 29.01.1957.

The cast of this movie had Chitra, Daljeet, Maruti, Niranjan Sharma, Krishnakumari, Ram Singh, Tiwari, Mishra, Kamal, Minu Mumtaz, Wazeer, Muhammad Khan, Sushil Kumar, Nadir Mota, Razia, Rafiq, Munshi Munakka, Jugnu, Shashimala, Savitri, Jagdish Kamal, Heera Sawant, Sheila Vaz, Suresh Nigam, Master Rajesh and others. Al Nasir had a guest appearance in this movie.

Music for this movie ‘Bansari Baalaa-1957’ was composed by Kamal Mitra. This movie has nine songs. They were written by Pandit Phani(six songs) and Saraswati Kumar Deepak (three songs). The playback singers for this movie are Manna Dey, Sudha Malhotra and Asha Bhonsle. Out of the nine songs of this movie, only three songs have been posted on this blog.

Today I am presenting the fourth song from this movie which I came across today while listening to songs from the movies of the golden period of Hindi Cinema in general and from the movies of 1957 in particulr. Today’s song is a nice philosophical song with a message, sung by Manna Dey, who excelled in singing these type of songs.

In the video of this song we have actor Daljeet (I hope I am correct) lip-syncing in the voice of Manna Dey. Actor Maruti is also seen in the picturisation.

Pandit Phani is the lyricist. and music is composed by Kamal Mitra.

Let us now listen to this song containing a good advice for everyone ….

Lyrics

krodh na karnaa aa aa re sansaaree
krodh kiyaa to bhool kee bhaaree
sau sau ghar ik saathh jalaatee
krodh kee chhotee see chingaaree

krodh na karnaa re sansaaree ee
krodh kiyaa to bhool kee bhaaree
bhool kee bhaaree re
krodh na karnaa re sansaaree ee
krodh kiyaa to bhool kee bhaaree
bhool kee bhaaree re ae

iske bas mein bhaaee bhaaee ko
dushman ban lalkaarey
baap ke munh par betaa boley
patni ko pati maare
krodhee kaa ghar narak kee jwaalaa◦◦◦◦aa
krodhee kaa ghar narak kee jwaalaa
jaltey nar aur naaree re
jaltey nar aur naaree
krodh na karnaa re sansaaree ee
krodh kiyaa to bhool kee bhaaree
bhool kee bhaaree re

krodh mein aa kar lade padosee
desh kaa ho bantwaaraa◦◦
apne pal mein bane paraaye
bikhrey kunbaa saaraa
phool phool kaantaa ban jaaye ae ae ae
phool phool kaantaa ban jaaye
ujad jaaye phulwaaree re ae
ujad jaaye phulwaaree
krodh na karnaa re sansaaree ee
krodh kiyaa to bhool kee bhaaree
bhool kee bhaaree re
krodh na karnaa re sansaaree ee
