As the nation is celebrating 77th Republic Day on 26th January, 2026, I have found yet another patriotic song by Mohammed Rafi sahab. I had zeroed in on another song, the sound quality was not so good. Suddenly this song came up on the feed, as a newly found song. I have checked; it is available on youtube for many years.
Another special thing is that it is a non-film song, written by Rajinder Krishan. Music directors name and the Album name is missing from the list of Rafi song as well as on the links available on youtube.
I can make a guess that it is composed by Husnlal-Bhagatram after hearing the song 2-3 times. The song is sounding so fresh and new. It could be from late 50’s or early 60’s. This is a nicely composed melodious song where chorus is going with Rafi Sahab.
I am being inundated with Rafi Sahab’s beautifully rendered solos and duets, which are not yet posted in the blog. It is always the case of “ek dhoondo milte hain hazaaro”. Though I am trying to do some non-Rafi songs like the ARR series and other newer song. But for some time, I will put all else on hold and post some of these songs I have saved.
