“Saugandh”(1961) was directed by G K Ramu for Hariharan Films, Madras. The movie had Anjali Devi, Gemini Ganeshan, M. N. Nambiar, P. S. Veerappa, M. N. Rajam, Kamala Laxman, M. Saroja, P. S. Venkatachalam etc in it. From the cast, it looks like a South Indian movie that was dubbed in Hindi and its original songs were translated and recorded in Hindi with Hindi movie playback singers.
“Saugandh”(1961) had seven songs in it. Two songs from the movie have been covered in the past.
Here is the third song from “Saugandh” (1961) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Talat Mehmood and Lata Mangeshkar. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Dilip Dholakiya.
