“Panihaari”(1946) was directed by Gunjal for Asiatic Pictures, Bombay. This obscure movie had Shanta Apte, Surendra, Yakoob, Gulab, Leela Mishra, Anita Sharma, Ameer Banu, Zubeda, Kanhaiyalal, Bikram kapoor, Munshi Khanjar etc in it.
There were ten obscure songs in this movie. One song has been covered in the blog nearly ten years ago.
Here is the second song from “Panihaari”(1946). It is sung by Surendra. S N Tripathi is the lyricist. There were three lyricists in the movie, but the disstribution of songs among them is not known.
Only audio of the song is available. It is clear that the song was picturised on Surendra himself.
