“Maan Abhimaan-1980” was directed by Hiren Nag for ‘Rajshri Productions, Bombay’. It had Rameshwari, Raj Kiran, Shashi Puri, Kavita Kiran, C.S. Dubey, Jagirdar, Yunus Parvez, Sundar, Arun Kumar, Pardesi, Albela, Master Rajesh, Chandu Allahabadi, Brijendra Mohan and others. Amrish Puri, Iftekhar and Sulochana had guest appearances in this movie. This movie was passed by Censor Board on 06.08.1980. As usual for movies from ‘Rajshri Productions’ this movie “Maan Abhimaan-1980” is another movie where they give us a ‘clean, heart-warming, family drama movie with some very nice musical compositions that come along the story’. I had not watched this movie in those years. In the year ‘1980’, when this movie was released, my age was 12 years and six months. I do not have any specific memory related to this movie or its songs or any discussion about it in our group of ‘cricket playing-movie watching’ friends.
