Sunday 12 April 2026 was a sad day for music lovers. Just as people were waking up to a leisurly sunady morning that they came to know that Asha Bhonsle was hospitalised following some easiness. Such age related problems are normal, most people thought and got on with their lives. But a few hours later, came the shocking news that Asha Bhonsle was no more. What a devastating loss for music lovers. It was on another sunday that Lata Mangeshkar had departed for her heavenly abode. That was four years ago. So both sisters have followed each other at the same age of 92.
