on:There are occasions when a couple may have strained relations and they may not be on talking terms with each other. But they are required to put up a facade of normalcy in front of their acquaintances. This song is a lovely picturisation of that nature. on:“Milan” (1967) was a musical blockbuster. I remember its songs being all over the place when I was a very young kid. As a kid, I would have dearly loved to see this movie, but those days many parents rationalised that watching movies was bad for kids. There is nothing new in that. Now it is not possible to sing and play a grand piano simultaneously, but when you are lip syncingto some one else’s voice and music is someone else’s creation, as are the lyrics, then nothing is impossible in Bollywood.

on:“Milan” (1967) was the biggest musical blockbuster of the year. Its songs had swept all the popularity charts in existence at that time. ( Well there used to be just a solitary such chart those days).
