Teri yaad dil se bhulaane chala hoon

Singer is Mukesh, lyricist is Shailendra and composers are Shankar Jaikishan. One may be forgiven to think that it must be a song picturised on Raj Kapoor. But no, this is a song from “Hariyali aur Raasta”, a movie featuring Manoj Kumar.
In fact, with some more exposure, I may be able to differentiate between a Mukesh song on Raj Kapoor and a Mukesh song on Manoj Kumar, I think. 😉
This song is a memorable Mukesh song. Like most Mukesh songs, this song too has that quality viz the ability to touch the heart strings of the listeners, every time one listens to this song.

Song- Teri yaad dil se bhulaane chala hoon (Hariyali aur Raasta) (1962) Singer- Mukesh, Lyrics- Shailendra, MD- Shankar Jaikishan
Lyrics
teri yaad dil se, bhulaane chalaa hoon
ke khud apni hasti, mitaane chalaa hoon
ke khud apni hasti, mitaane chalaa hoon
teri yaad dil se, bhulaane chalaa hoon
teri yaad dil se
ghataaon tumhen saath denaa padegaa
ghataaon tumhen saath denaa padegaa
main phir aaj aansoo bahaane chalaa hoon
bahaane chalaa hoon
teri yaad dil se, bhulaane chalaa hoon
ke khud apni hasti, mitaane chalaa hoon
teri yaad dil se
kabhi is jagah khwaab dekhe the maine
kabhi is jagah khwaab dekhe the maine
wahin khaak apni udaane chalaa hoon
udaane chalaa hoon
teri yaad dil se, bhulaane chalaa hoon
ke khud apni hasti, mitaane chalaa hoon
teri yaad dil se
ghame ishq le phoonk de mera daaman
ghame ishq le phoonk de mera daaman
main apni lagi yoon bujhaane chala hoon
bujhaane chala hoon
teri yaad dil se, bhulaane chalaa hoon
ke khud apni hasti, mitaane chalaa hoon
teri yaad dil se

Very good song. I like this song very much.
All the songs of this movie are very good.
Whether the faster “bol meri taqdeer mein kya hai” or “yeh hariyali aur yeh raasta” or “itbidaaye ishq mein hum” or “lakhon taare” (you know I love this song !).
