Dil ka khilauna haaye toot gaya

The movie “Goonj Uthi Shehnaai” has so many evergreen songs that one loses count. I have posted one of them in my blog so far, and there remains another half a dozen or so songs from this movie that deserve to be posted.
Take for example this song- “dil ka khilauna haay toot gaya”. It is an iconic song for as long as I remember. Lata at her best, Vasant Desai at his best and Bharat Vyas at his best. Everyone has listened to this song, even if he/she may not know which movie this is from or who was the actress on which this song was picturised. That does not really matter. It appears that the song was picturised on an actress called Ameeta.
Incidentally, this song was apparently not as popular vis a vis other songs from this movie when this movie was released.This song failed to break into the list of songs in the Binaca geetmala final of 1959.It is only with the passage of time that this song has become more popular.

Very good song.
This movie is full of very good songs.
Vasant Desai has done a very good job in this movie.
