Maine peena seekh liya

Rafi has sung many drunkard songs in his career. And they were mainly picturised on Raj Kumar, Dev Anand etc. I was not aware that Rafi had sung a drunkard song for Rajendra Kumar too.
This song from “Goonj Uthi shahnaayi” (1959) is a drunkard song sung by Rafi and picturised on Rajendra Kapoor. in this song, Rafi actually sounds drunk. That just shows how wondefully he has sung this`song.
Bharat Vyas is the lyricist and Vasant Desai composed the music. this was perhaps one of the first song of this genre that was sung by Rafi, before he sang many more such songs in 1960s.

Just read the review. One interesting comment (about the drunkard song) was made in the review:
“This was perhaps one of the first song of this genre that was sung by Rafi, before he sang many more such songs in 1960s”.
I can think of at least three songs by Rafi prior to 1959.
