Ye duniya usiki jo pyaar karle

Posted on: March 23, 2009

Music director Ravi tended to deliver many hit songs in every movie where he was the music director. And he worked in more than 100 movies as a music director.

“Gharana” (1961) was one of his earlier movies. In this movie he delivered many hit songs.

This particualr song, let me admit, is one that I had not heard till today. It is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is written by Shakeel Badayuni. It is a stage song being performed in a hall and is being watched by many spectators, including Raj Kumar.

Song-Ye duniya usi ki (Gharana) (1961) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Shakeel Badayuni, MD-Ravi

Lyrics

Ye duniya usiki jo pyaar karle
Ye duniya usiki jo pyaar karle
preet se dil ka singaar karle
preet se dil ka singaar karle
Ye duniya usiki jo pyaar karle
Ye duniya usiki jo pyaar karle

man me jiske na pyaar ki agan hai
uska jeewan bhi kya jeewan hai
man me jiske na pyaar ki agan hai
uska jeewan bhi kya jeewan hai
suno suno ji kya kahti hai paayal ki jhankaar
kyaa

ho man me jiske na pyaar ki agan hai
uska jeewan bhi kya jeewan hai
na dar kisi se tu pyaar kar le
ye duniya usi ki jo pyaar kar le
ye duniya usi ki jo pyaar kar le

apni ankhiyon se parda hata le
man ki bagiya me kaliyaa khila le
apni ankhiyon se parda hata le
man ki bagiya me kaliyan khila le
suno suno ji kyaa kahti hai paayal ki jhankaar
kyaa

ho apni ankhiyon se parda hata le
man ki bagiya me kaliya khila le
thodi si jaa ke bahaar kar le
ye duniya usiki jo pyaar karle
ye duniya usiki jo pyaar karle
preet se dil ka singaar kar le
ye duniya usiki jo pyaar karle

This movie had some very nice songs. Ravi must indeed have been at his creative peak during that time. I just looked it up and found some of my favorite songs in this movie – Husnwale tera jawab nahin, Jabse tumhe dekha hai, Jai raghunandan jai siyaram, Daadi amma daadi amma maan jaao, and this song, Yeh duniya usiki. I don’t know if the movie was a hit, though.

By the way, I am still looking for the children’s song which was a parody of various songs, including the song Husnwale tera jawab nahin, but it went, “Poonchwale tera jawab nahin …” I would love to hear it again.
