Aap mujhe achche lagne lage

“Aap mujhe acche lagne lage” is a very nice song sung by Lata. But as happens with me for many songs, I was not aware which movie this song was from. When I googled, I was flooded with details of a 2002 movie titled “aap mujhe ache lagne lage”. What blasphemy ! This new movie has not only used the title of this Lata classic, this movie has even hijacked this phrase, and finding out the details of the Lata song has become a tall order.
After some painstaking research, now I know that the Lata song was from “Jeene Ki raah”. wow, i was not aware. I have already posted a few songs from this movie, but I never knew that this Lata song also belonged to “Jeene Ki raah”.
This song is picturised on Tanuja and Jeetendra and the picturisation is quite nice. It is humbling to realise that this song was picturised in 1969, and nowadays it is their kids ( Tushar Kapoor and Kajol respectively) whose generation have taken over Bollywood.
Laxmikant Pyarelal is the music director whereas Anand Bakshi was the lyricist.
