I listened to this song just now for the first time. And I was mesmerised.
This song is from “Nageena” (1951). It is sung by a very fresh voiced Lata and picturised on an equally fresh faced Nutan. Shailendra is the lyricist, Shankar Jaikishan are the music directors.
This song, though 58 years old as I type out these words, appears fresh as lily. Listen to this song and one feels like one’s day is made. What a lovely song !

This song is soooo difficult to sing, must be one of the most difficult Lata numbers ever, becuase of the range and the rather odd rhythm.
I have always loved it, a special thank you for posting this one.
