Chanda ko dhoondhne sabhi taare nikal pade

I have listened to this song many a times, without having a clue which movie it was from. Moreover, I listened to this song without paying much attention.
Now I know that this song is from “Jeene Ki Raah” (1969), a movie which has some superb songs. This song is sung by several singers viz Asha Bhonsle, Usha Mangeshkar etc and the song is picturised on three kids. Female singers giving playback for kids was usual in those days.
Anand Bakshi is the lyricist and Laxmikant Pyarelal composed the music.
This is a superb song that will move its listeners even today, 40 years after this song was created.

Lyrics
chandaa ko dhoondhne sabhi taare nikal pade
chandaa ko dhoondhne sabhi taare nikal pade
galiyon mein wo naseeb ke maare nikal pade
chandaa ko dhoondhne sabhi taare nikal pade
unki nazar kaa jis ne nazaaraa churaa liyaa
unke dilon kaa jis ne sahaaraa churaa liyaa
us chor ki talaash mein saare nikal pade
chandaa ko dhoondhne sabhi taare nikal pade
gham ki andheri raat mein jalnaa padaa unhen
phoolon ke badle kaanton pe chalnaa padaa unhen
dharti pe jab gagan ke dulaare nikal pade
chandaa ko dhoondhne sabhi taare nikal pade
unki pukaar sun ke ye dil dagmagaa gayaa
ham ko bhi koyi bichhdaa huaa yaad aa gayaa
bhar aayi aankh aansoo hamaare nikal pade
chandaa ko dhoondhne sabhi taare nikal pade
galiyon mein wo naseeb ke maare nikal pade
chandaa ko dhoondhne sabhi taare nikal pade

There is another version of this song which featured in the film, which is a rafi solo, very small only mukhda sung like a lori.
