Phoolon pe nikhaar hai bahaar pe bahaar hai

The word “Chaand” (moon) found frequent use in bollywood songs in the past. It is a surprise that I have not yet thought of a catgory called “Chaand” song though I must have posted dozens of songs with this word in them. I guess I have included these songs in the category of “chaayaageet” songs.
Then there were movies where the word “Chaand” found mention in the movie title itself. For instance, here is this movie called “Chaand Mere Aaja” (1960). I was not aware of this movie. Now that I have become aware of its existence, I am realising that this movie, obscure as it may be, is full of superb songs- none of which I had heard earlier.
To make amends, here is this nice song from this movie. This song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Nanda. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist and Chitragupta is the music director,
What a superb song this is ! I loved it the very first time I heard it, which was today itself.
