Mukesh is often regarded as an expert in singing sad songs. But he could bring out other emotions just as expertly in his singing.
Here is a lovely romantic song from “Aashiq” (1962). This song is picturised on Raj Kapoor and Padmini and Raj Kapoor is singing this song praising the beauty of Padmini.
Shailendra is the lyricist and he comes up with an interesting song which Shankar Jaikishan composed so nicely.
This song is easily one of the memorable songs sung by Mukesh. This song is in fact a duet and Lata also sings in this song.

This is not a solo song. Lata sings for Padmini in the duet.

this was one of nine gems of songs from Aashiq .
All songs were hits and had repeated broadcast despite the film flopping !
Mukash songs are generally tuned so that any listener can also sing with minimum variation in pitches or complicated nuances though I dont mean to undermine the melodious voice of mukesh
