The more songs I post in this blog, the more I realise how less I know about the songs of the past. There are so many gems lying forgotten that if we can rediscover them all, we will have hundreds, if not thousands of re discoverd wonderful songs that have been left behind for our enjoyment by some great masters of yesteryears.
Here is a superb song from a movie called “Do Dil”(1965). It is a folk music based song which is picturised as a folk dance on Rajshree. The song is sung by Lata. Kaifi azmi is the lyricist and Hemant Kumar has composed the foot tapping music of this song. One never thought that Hemant Kumar could compose such fast music, but here he certainly has a suroprise in store for us.
Some of the lyrics (those sung by the chorus) is not clear to me and I have not included that in the lyrics. If anyone can decipher them and inform me what these words are, I will add them to the lyrics.
