In Bollywood movie songs, it the the boy who wooes the girl and the girl takes exception. But what happens when it is the other way round ? When the girl starts wooing the boy, then the latter is very uncomfortable. And that was much more so half a century ago.
Here in this song, Minoo Mumtaz comes on hard at Rajendra Kumar. The lyrics of this song , written by Prem Dhawan are quite seductive, and it is made even more so by the voice of Suman Kalyanpur. This song has to be one of the more seductive songs seen in a Bollywood movie.
Ravi is the music director. The movie is “Chirag Kahaan Roshni Kahaan” (1959)

I take it back. It is quite painful when Suman has to hit the high notes. So in that sense it is not as memorable as it ought ot have been.

down slide tags are not changed, it still remains as song was sung by Asha Bhosle(tag wise), but the song was sung by SUMAN KALYANPUR.

I checked and this is not by Asha B but by Suman K who does seem to have trouble in the high register, unlike Asha who would have had none. But it is a novel song for Suman K and is quite nice but no awards for this one.
