“Do Bhai” (1947) is a movie that was a hit movie of its time. Of course the lead actors of this movie are not all that well known today. Name of Kamini Kaushal is still familiar, but few people may have any idea about Ulhas and Rajan, who are credited as the leading actors of this movie.
This movie is remembered today for S D Burman’s music and Geeta Dutt’s singing. Geeta Dutt’s legendary song “mera sundar sapna beet gaya” is from this movie which has already been posted in this blog.
Here is another lovely song from this movie.. This song has the voice of Geeta Dutt,and in addition, it has a male voice too, that of S K Raagi. I have little information on him, but I must say that I found his voice deep and rich and impressive in this song. In fact, I find his voice similar to how Kishore Kumar too musy have sounded at that time.
Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is the lyricist.
As mentioned above, I have little idea about the actors of this movier. Still, I guess that this song is pictrurised on Kamini Kaushal and Ulhas. Any knowledgeable readers of this blog are welcome to correct me, since I am not sure of my facts about the actors on which this song is picturised.
But I am sure of one think, and this is the fact that I loved listening to this song,. What a lovely duet song this is !

Yes you are right Atul, the male in the clip is indeed Ulhas and the female of course is Kamini kaushal.
There is another move of Kamini Kaushal “Ansoo”, probably released in late 40s. Is there any clips of the songs available Atul?

I will be very happy if some own includes the song “Andhera Hai Andhera,jalte Deep Bhuj gaye Chaagaya hai Andhera” sung by Mohammad Rafi in the film Do Bhai
