In old Bollywood movies, most leading actors would be shown seated on a grand piano and singing a song. Now it is not possible to sing and play a grand piano simultaneously, but when you are lip syncingto some one else’s voice and music is someone else’s creation, as are the lyrics,then nothing is impossible in Bollywood.
Interestingly, I never saw Kishore Kumar , who sang his songs himself singing a piano song. Finally I have found a piano song picturised on Kishore Kumar. This song, which is a party song as well, is from “Ek Raaz” (1963). Kishore Kumar is seen singing, seated on the piano, for the benefit of the “bewafa” Jamuna, and his singing seems to be having the desired effect on her, though it apparently falls on deaf ears as far as others are concerned, since they are seen seated motionless and emotionless.
The song is written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and music is composed by Chitragupta.
