I have posted several songs from “Baazi” (1951) in this blog in the past. This song being posted now is one that is very well known to many, but I was not aware of this song. When I listened to this song (just now) for the first time, I wondered how I had never heard this song before.
Well, it is better late than never. It is a lovely sensuous song sung by Geeta Dutt and picturised on Kalpana Kartik and Dev Anand. Incidentally, the two went on to become wife and husband in real life.
The song is written by Sahir Ludhianvi and music is by S D Burman.

This is a lovely song. This movie is full of very good songs – some very catchy ones too. So this song gets overshadowed but this is a very good song in its own right.
