I have posted two rare songs from a rare movie called “Mashukaa” (1953) which was a home production of Mukesh. In this movie, Mukesh and Suraiyya were the lead actors, and naturally they had sung for themselves in this movie.
Here is a duet sung by the two. I have heard this song for the first time only just recently, and I am sure that will be the case with most other music lovers too. What a lovely song it is ! Shailendra is the lyricist and Roshan is the music director.
If this song was lost as a result of the failure of the movie at the box office then the loss is that of the listeners, who were deprived of listening to the songs of this movie. This song sounds like a gem that deserves to be much better known among music lovers.

for quite some time i was looking for , rather unsuccessfully, suraiya’s song from “mashooka” but within span of three days i got two in my iPod.
